THIS year's 'B In The Park' is set to be a diamond day for Glenrothes.

The annual outdoor concert has proved a huge hit with fans in recent years, with thousands of people turning up in Riverside Park to enjoy the bands and the other entertainments featured.

To help mark the town's 60th anniversary, the Glenrothes Gazette is giving musicians the chance to bid for a one of three places on the bill at the special event, which will be held on July 10.

And we are inviting readers to make the final decision on who should appear.

Bands: All you have to do is send a 100-word maximum description of your band, a photograph (jpg format) and two MP3 tracks, both of which should be original compositions, to bands@fifetoday.co.uk.
Your profile and tracks will then appear on this website for the duration of the competition.

Readers: Visit this website for regular updates of bands and vote for your favourite band/s online by sending their name and code number to entries@fifetoday.co.uk.

Alternatively you can text your choice by texting the word 'Park' followed by a space, then the band code, followed by your postcode, to 81800. Calls cost 25p plus your standard network charge. This will be charged to your mobile phone bill.

The more votes a band gets, the more it has a chance of being on the bill at this year's 'B in the Park'.
