£10,000 award for Leslie bowling club
Leslie Bowling Club has received a £10,000 Awards for All grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
The cash will be used to buy adaptable wheelchairs and upgrade their facilities and playing green to provide improved access for disabled players.
Fife Institute-based Disability Sport Fife netted the same amount to fund coaching sessions for people with a physical, sensory or learning disability.
And Pitteuchar East Primary School Parent Council got £7083 to purchase two activity trails for the playground.
Glenrothes MSP, Tricia Marwick, welcomed the awards and congratulated the recipients.
She added: “I’m delighted three worthwhile, local organisations have gained lottery funding.
“Each of these group’s plans improve recreational facilities and this can only provide benefits to communities.”
“I am always pleased to hear about investment in the Glenrothes area and if any local groups feel I can be of any assistance with regard to their fundraising efforts, they should contact my constituency office on 01592 764815 and my staff would be happy to help them if they can.”
