Street Pastors: A COMMISSIONING ceremony will take place on Saturday at 7.30 p.m in the Salvation Army Hall, Hill Street, Kirkcaldy to commission and send out the newest of Kirkcaldy’s Street Pastors. They have been acting as observers for the past few months and, after extensive training, are to be commissioned as full Street Pastors and will receive their uniforms and hats. Join us in celebrating these individuals coming into the service of their town. Tea and coffee will follow the ceremony. The Street Pastors continue to patrol Kirkcaldy’s High Street area every Saturday night; there to care, listen and help people out on the town.

Strawberry teas: THE next Strawberry Teas at Bennochy Parish Church will be held

on Friday, August 10. The teas will be served from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m in the church gardens. If it is wet, the event will take place in Methven Hall. All welcome.

Open Church: BURNTISLAND Parish Church once again opens its doors for a series of open days this summer. Built in 1592 the church is the oldest post reformation church in use in Scotland. The church will be open between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m, Monday to Saturday with members of the congregation on hand to guide and answer questions.

Sunday Club: THE newly named Sunday Club at Kinghorn Parish Church - JAM (Jesus and Me) - will recommence on Sunday, August 19 in the church hall at 10.30 a.m.

Holiday club: WHYTE’S Causeway Baptist Church is running its annual holiday club for primary one to seven children this week. This year’s theme for the activities is ‘On Your Marks’.

Coffee morning: A COFFEE morning is held every Thursday at St Mark’s Coptic Church in Links Street, Kirkcaldy. The weekly event runs from 10.00 a.m until noon. Everyone from the local area is welcome. The event is held in the church hall, accessed via Barnet Crescent. Come along for refreshments and a chat.
