NOVEMBER looks to be another busy month for environmental group CLEAR after a significant October.

Last month the group celebrated its 60th monthly meeting, held a successful Apple Day (October 21), continued work on the heritage trail, made an educational visit to growing projects in Kirkcaldy and collected an Its Your Neighbourhood award from Beautiful Scotland.

This month it is looking at planting trees and bulbs with secretary Allen Armstrong saying it would appreciate any help that’s out there.

Next Tuesday members will be working at the Globe Orchard on College Street, Buckhaven from 10am-1pm and on the following Saturday they will be having a day at the Growing Space on Burns Avenue with events, food and music from 12pm.

It has also launched a 2013 Buckhaven heritage calendar/tea towel featuring a 1920’s harbour scene.

Mr Armstrong said: “We’re always ready to welcome more people - especially locals - and other voluntary groups to come along and get involved.

“We can organise active outdoor events to channel your energies productively and help your fundraising in the process – and it’s fun.”
