KIRKCALDY High School has appointed its new Head Boy and Head Girl for the coming year.

They are Lee Pirrie and Jade McQuillan who were chosen after being interviewed by Moira Brown, human resources manager with Kirkcaldy firm MGt; Judith Kerr, the school’s depute head and Derek Allan the head teacher.

Lee Pirie said: “Being Head Boy is a great opportunity for me to work in a committed and enthusiastic team of Prefects with the Pupil Leadership Team.

“It gives me great pleasure to walk in to school every day with the knowledge that I am supported by a fantastic team which has a great deal of respect for all the roles we will be fulfilling in the year ahead.

‘‘Also it is a great honour to represent the ethos of the school around the community and to achieve the targets set by the school.”

Jade McQuillan said: “I feel really honoured that the school has given me the opportunity to be Head Girl.

‘‘ “I hope I am able to follow the same high standard of determination and enthusiasm of previous years. I can’t wait to work with everyone.’’
