kirkcaldy duo Frances Beaton and Emma Smart are hoping that combining their expertise will prove a big success in their new beauty salon business Radiantly Beautiful.
With Emma doing the hands-on beauty treatments after studying for an HNC at Adam Smith College, backed up by a year of specialist beauty courses to enable her to deliver the top class products the salon will use, and Frances using her skills in business administration while studying for a Law degree, it’s an ideal mix.
They are joined by beauty therapist Lisa Mullen who did her training through the Carlton University and the Scottish Beauty Therapy Academy.
Radiantly Beautiful opened its doors to the public last week after holding two open events to launch the business, and the duo say they have been busy since the opening in the former Carlton Bakery premises in the High Street, which have been completely refurbished to provide a stylish and relaxing salon complete with reception and nail bar area, waxing and treatment room, massage room and tanning room for clients.
As well as offering a wide range of nail, waxing, massage and beauty therapy treatments, the salon is keen to promote its male grooming services as well as its skincare for older clients treatments, and it is also offering tailor made wedding packages and American-influenced Princess Parties for youngsters aged 6-14 years to introduce them to looking after their skin and nails.
Radiantly Beautiful will use the Jane Iredale range of natural mineral-based products, and, with opening hours including Sundays and Mondays plus late night opening on Thursdays and by appointment on Fridays, it will cater for those working normal office hours.
The salon has chosen our Maggie’s Centre as its nominated charity and will hold events throughout the year with the cancer caring centre as its beneficiary.
“We are really excited about the future and hope people will come along and visit us and see what we can offer them,” explained Frances.
