FIRMS are being urged to enter this year’s Fife Business Awards by a previous winner.

The Great Turf Company scooped the ‘Success Through Sustainability’ award in 2010 and, having just started up that year, it gave the whole company a tremendous boost.

Marketing manager Rebecca Russell said: “We got a lot of publicity out of it, both in the local and industry press. It drew attention to the business.”

The Inverkeithing-based company – which specialises in turf management using natural methods, and works with top football clubs in Europe and championship golf courses – went on to enjoy further awards success at Scottish and British level.

“These successes helped the company grow very quickly,” said Rebecca. “I’d encourage other companies to get involved as it’s a great motivation for everyone.”

The Fife Business Awards 2012, organised by the Fife Chamber of Commerce, are open for entries. Visit www.fifechamber.co.uk for entry details.
