Closure rumours denied

THE boss of estate agency RE/MAX Professionals has reassured clients that its Leven branch has not closed, despite rumours to the contrary.

Passers-by contacted the Mail to say the Commercial Road premises had apparently shut – but the outlet is “unmanned” at the moment because of an unexpected staff shortage.

The firm, which specialises in property sales and lettings, has advertised and is interviewing to find a replacement, said owner Colin Jenkins.

Calls were being diverted to the Glenrothes office in the meantime, while RE/MAX Professionals also had a couple of estate agents working around Levenmouth.

Mr Jenkins said the firm, which has had an office in Leven since 2004, hoped to recruit a new employee as soon as possible.
