LEVEN business BEAD Workshop Ltd has become the first local company to take advantage of the Levenmouth Vacant Property Grant.

The jewellery wholesaler, which was previously based at Banbeath Industrial Estate, recently moved into the empty former West End Amusement premises on Leven prom.

It was given a £4500 Vacant Property Grant, which contributed 75 per cent of the cost of new central heating system.

Company director Claire Snedden told the Mail BEAD Workshop wanted to move to a town centre location to realize its expansion plans and the grant proved ‘invaluable’.

Available in Leven, Methil and Buckhaven the grant offers up to £5000 of support for businesses to get empty premises occupied and contributing to the local economy.

Any business or property owner wanting an application pack, or to find out more, should contact Chris Wragg on 08451 555555 ext. 471851; or email chris.wragg@fife.gov.uk or go to www.fifedirect.org.uk/vacantpropertygrant.
