Temporary closure of shoe shop for refitting

SHOE Zone bosses have quashed rumours that Leven High Street’s only shoe shop is to shut.

‘Closing down sale’ signs had been prominently displayed inside and outside the premises, which employ four people.

However, the branch is closing only for 1-2 weeks in September for a refit.

Naomi Shefford, marketing and property director, explained the wrong publicity had unfortunately been mounted and this would be changed as soon as possible this week.

“The Shoe Zone store in Leven is not closing down permanently but is closing to have a refit,” she added.

“The store will be closed for a short period while the refit is carried out and we hope customers will be pleased with the improvements we will make, including new flooring and equipment.”

Leven was part of the Shoefayre business bought in September 2007 and re-branded to Shoe Zone the following year.
