Big plans are set for Glenrothes

An ambitious plan to create a whole new community in Glenrothes has been launched.

Scottish Enterprise and investment company Landteam are seeking planning permission in principle for a mixed-use development at Westwood Park, just off Bankhead Roundabout on the A92. Up to 420 homes could be built, as well as retail units, office space, a creche and a restaurant/takeaway. If councillors accept this initial application in the coming months, then a more detailed plan will follow from developers.
