Famously, James Allan, lead singer of chart toppers Glasvegas, once played for the Methil men before going on to lead his band out at Balado.
And now the club is set for more representation at the festival with 'Trapped in Kansas' featuring mega
Fife fan bass player Chris Ward (23) signed up to perform – with his customised black and gold guitar..
Although now based in Glasgow with his band and having been brought up in Glenrothes, former season ticket holder Chris still looks out for the Fifers' results after being hooked on the black and gold by tales from the glory days.
He said: "My gran grew up in Methil and met my grandad who was working as a policeman in Leven at the time.
"When I was younger she used to tell me stories of Bayview and how she remembered the huge crowds at the old Bayview and seeing players like Charlie 'Legs 11' Fleming, George Aitken, Jimmy Bonthrone and Henry Morris all playing for East Fife and how brilliant they all were.
"She remembered them winning the cup and all the excitement that it had caused and I think because I'd heard these stories growing up I felt more attached to East Fife than Raith Rovers or Celtic and Rangers like most young people my age did in the '90s.
"It was even more of an odd choice since Rovers were in the Premier League at the time but I didn't care.
"She used to fancy Charlie Fleming before she met my grandad I think!"
Trapped in Kansas will play the T Break stage at the Fife festival with a time yet to be confirmed.
