PUPILS at Methilhill primary School are now the proud recipients of the Diana Anti-Bullying Award.
The group of P7 children (pictured) were delighted to receive the certificates alongside class teacher Gordon Anderson recently.

Mr Anderson, who admitted he was "amazed" at the work the children completed on their own, said: "This is a prestigious award and everyone at the school values the immense work that they all put in."

The children scripted, acted, produced and edited their own 50-minute film that looked at the effects of bullying.

As well as inspiring other pupils at school to discuss bullying issues, the pupils built on their film's success by organising an open evening offering advice to parents.

The Diana Award recognises the work that young people of all ages do to combat the problem of bullying in schools and communities.
