Sheriff's need to come and witness bad behaviour

SHERIFFS should spend a night living in Levenmouth to witness first hand the anti-social behaviour that upsets residents.
That's the opinion of local councillor, Andrew Rodger, who made the tongue-in-cheek remark while discussing the issue of quad bikes which ride through Levenmouth's built up areas.

The councillor claims that he's spoken to local people who have had to put up with the engine racket throughout the small hours of the morning from bikes whose riders also issue threats and insults to anybody trying to confront them.

Cllr Rodger was speaking at a meeting of Levenmouth's area committee in Buckhaven Community Centre on Wednesday, saying that the efforts of the police to catch those responsible were then being wasted by lenient sheriffs.
