A TALENTED Leven student is celebrating after winning a prestigious competition to design the first ever official Scottish Parliament tartan.
Teri Scott, 22, a textiles student at Heriot-Watt University in Galashiels successfully fought off competition of over 60 fellow designers from around the country with her striking purple and green design.

The crowning moment for the young Fifer came on Monday when, as part of her prize, she attended the 10th anniversary celebrations of the parliament as a special guest.
