After thousands of votes - Naomi is our Face of 2009
THE VOTES have been counted, the stressing is over, and for one lucky girl, the fun is just about to begin!

After thousands of votes, by text and in the paper, we can announce that our Face of 2009 is gorgeous Kinghorn teenager Naomi Bell.

Naomi (17), who attends Balwearie High School, was thrilled to be crowned the winner and is now looking forward to a glamorous day of pampering and preening at an exclusive photo shoot next week.

She said: "My mum entered me in the competition and I was a bit unsure about it at first. But I am really happy that I have won and can't wait for the shoot.

"I'd like to say a big thank you to all my friends and family who voted for me by text and through buying papers.

"I'd also like the thank my dad, John Lawson, and my auntie, Michelle McCulloch, who both voted for me a lot."

Naomi, who used to attend Kinghorn Primary School, has done some modelling in the past, but nothing for a few years.

The teenager is an only child and lives in North Overgate with her mum Marisha and Marisha's partner Iain Wilson.

Her proud mum added: "I am so excited for Naomi.

"She worked with an agency in Glasgow when she was about 10 but this is great."

Naomi is in sixth year at school and hopes to study psychology in the future.

Her great prizes include a fashion shoot with talented photographers Catch Photography, hair styling from award winning salon Migele Experience and clothes for the shoot will be provided by Desire by Debenhams.

Other prizes include one paid modelling job, a photographic portfolio, haircare treats, a three month gym membership at Priory Park gym and a picture spread in The Fife Free Press.
