A FIFE band will play in front of potentially one of their biggest crowds after being picked to join the programme at T in the Park later this month.
State of Affairs will take to the T Break stage at Balado as one of 16 unsigned acts chosen first from 1000 demo tapes and then from an audition for the top 48 bands in front of industry experts.

The four-piece alternative rock band comprises David Latto (guitar and vocals), Grant Jeffrey (bass and backing vocals), Hands (guitar and backing vocals), all from Kettle, and Newburgh's Andrew Lennie (drums).

Now based in Edinburgh, the band formed about six years ago while the four musicians were all students at Cupar's Bell Baxter High School.

David said the T in the Park audition had gone well and they felt State of Affairs had as good a chance as any band of making the cut.

Nerves were not a problem as they had played together for so long and performed as much as they could throughout Fife, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

State of Affairs will perform on the opening day of T in the Park on Friday, July 11.
