AN APPEAL has been made to find someone who may be able to help Falkland restore the wheels of its distinctive flower-filled carts.
The village's Falkland in Bloom committee has carts filled with beautiful floral displays at several strategic locations, but after years of being exposed to the elements they now require refurbishment.

Committee secretary Bert Allan explained that while they should be able to repair the carts, finding a way of fixing the wheels is proving more problematic.

He said: "The wooden wheels are quite intricate and defy our attempts at repair and finding replacements has so far proved very difficult.

"As well as having these carts at important locations to the village they are also used on the Falkland in Bloom logo."

Anyone who may be able to help is asked to contact Bert via e-mail at bertallan@btinternet.com
