COULD you play a part in helping to keep history alive?
Local volunteers with an interest in Fife's heritage are being urged to come forward to help out at the National Trust for Scotland's Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse near Cupar and Kellie Castle, Pittenweem.

The volunteers would help the historic properties provide a first class service to visitors, with roles available in retail, catering and gardening at both properties.

Property manager, Roger Brown, said: "As a conservation charity, we are always on the look out for dedicated and talented volunteers to share their skills and experience with us.

"At Hill of Tarvit and Kellie Castle, we are looking for help in a range of roles.

"The positions would be suitable for local people who can spare at least four or five hours per week, are able to work flexibly as our requirements vary, preferrably have their own transport, and who have a keen interest in the history of Fife and want to share that with our visitors."

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should contact Helen Blyde on 01333 720271 or e-mail hblyde@nts.org.uk
