I went there a while ago at the weekend with a few friends. It was quiet, as in there weren’t many people there, but the music was far far too loud. It is more the sort of place you would want to go to to chat to your friends not listen to dance music so loud you cannot hear. I asked the barman if there was any chance he could turn it down, but he declined and was rude about it. No-one in there gave a toss about the DJ, and were all trying to do as we were, which was sit about in nice surroundings chatting to your mates. Surely they should be trying to please their customers rather than the DJ on an ego trip?

I went in with 3 of my friends on Saturday afternoon for the first time after reading these reviews. The didnt open for 10mins but when I asked if we could just sit down they were pleasant enough. Really quite a dark and cosy bar, extensive cocktail menu, some really weird ones on there but only stayed for the one. Wouldnt go with a massive group of people as the coves you sit in are quite small but was nice enough for a few drinks and a catch up with friends

I’ve been here many times before and it’s always been great. Not sure where the usual bar staff were last night but the bar man in particular was so rude we’re never going back.

Rudest bartender I have ever encountered. I don’t think I have ever been treated so badly anywhere in all of my time in Edinburgh. I would not recommend this place to any one for any reason. Too bad I can’t award zero stars. One is one too many.

Really everything about this place has been covered by the previous reviews, great cocktails very knowledgeable bar staff and perfectly happy to make you something up even if it is not on their list. So recommend this place its unreal.

Very cool venue, very e-burgh. Supremely good music coming through the sound system.
All the cocktails we tried were excellent. Splash out, try a few and enjoy.
