Police in Glenrothes have teamed up with a local charitable organisation to refurbish unwanted and found bicycles that normally end up as found property in one of several found property stores run by the force.
Bikeworks Fife provides people in Fife affected by disability or unemployment the opportunity to learn skills in cycle repair.

Found bicycles that remain unclaimed will be collected by Bikeworks Fife where they will be restored and given a new lease of life. The bikes and bike parts are then either sold to the public at an affordable price and the money fed back into the organisation.
