Carnegie Hall's Sleeping Beauty (played by Louise Stewart, 24) took time from her busy schedule of snoozing to kick off Christmas at various events in the town over the weekend.

First of all, she went to the new Dobbies in Dunfermline to welcome Santa on Saturday, who arrived with his reindeer to set up grotto in the store. Once she had said hello and met the elves, she was whisked off by her old friend Good Fairy (Alyson Orr, also the show's Producer) to East End Park, to cheer on the Pars in their fixture against Morton. There she met team mascot, Sammy the Tammy, who gave them a warm, bear hug welcome and Good Fairy sprinkled some fairy dust on the pitch for luck.
By now it was time for a good old sleep for Beauty, but she was back, bright and early the following evening to lead the parade along Dunfermline High Street to the Kingdom FM stage at the Glen Gates, where, aided by Santa Claus, the girls switched on the town's Christmas lights with the radio station's breakfast show hosts, Ian Gilmour and Diane Lester.
Sleeping Beauty is Carnegie Hall's Christmas Show for all the family and will run from Fri Dec 5th to Sat 27th December. Tickets are available from the theatre Box Office, by phone on 01383 602 302, or online at www.attfife.org.uk.
