IT’S one of the most traditionally popular events symbolising summer in Leven – and it shifted into gear once more at the weekend.
Sunday saw the Promenade transformed into a vivid visual tribute to the golden years of motoring, with the Veteran and Vintage Car Rally.
Some of the most famous names on the road were on display amid the selection of classic, vintage and veteran cars, motorbikes and other vehicles.
The weather, while overcast, held up reasonably well, although not living up to the standards of ‘The Sunshine Rally’.
Jim Houston, one of the organisers, said torrential rain appeared to be surrounding Leven, which may have persuaded some of the 160 or so entrants to stay at home.
“This did not spoil this 46th running of one of the oldest Veteran and Vintage rallies in Scotland and the judging was very close in all classes,” he added.
Main sponsor was R. B. Bruce Coachworks, with support from MSL Leisure Beachcomber Cafe and Levenmouth Printers.
