FAMILY and friends braved rain, hail, wind and snow to give a four-month-old baby a brighter future.
Parents Debbie and John Ferrier organised a sponsored walk to raise funds for young Aiden, who suffers from plagiocephaly, a disfigurement of the skull.
The condition can be treated through a custom-made, adjustable helmet, but NHS funding for the £2000 treatment is not generally available.
Around 20 people took part in the 20-mile round trip from Leven to Kirkcaldy and back.
Debbie said: “We had snow, rain, hail and some sunshine but we still made it.
“We’re so grateful for the way people have come together to help us.”
The Ferriers plan to donate any funds above the amount needed to cover Aiden’s treatment to help other children in the area with plagiocephaly.
