EAST Neuk volunteers have been honoured for giving 10 or more years’ service to the charity Children 1st.
Pictured, from left, Charles Thrower, Catherine Kirk, Julian James and Brenda Hall were each presented with certificates as a small acknowledgement of their amazing commitment.
The volunteers contribute to the charity by taking part in fund-raising action groups and raising vital funds for the charity.
The presentations took place at the group’s annual general meeting in Dundee.
Children 1st’s remit is to listen, support and take action by delivering services in homes and communities across Scotland.
It works to safeguard children and young people, to support them within their families and to help them to recover from abuse, neglect and violence.
The group also speaks out for children’s rights and campaigns to change attitudes.
Anne Houston, chief executive, said: “Volunteers are absolutely central to all of the work of Children 1st.
“Their generosity and commitment makes such a difference to our ability to be there for vulnerable children, young people and families – we quite simply couldn’t do it without them.”
