Driving offences as police target the roads

SEVEN vehicles were seized during a national day of action by Fife Police.

Five were uninsured vehicles and two were being used by drivers who were not holders of driving licences. One driver was taken into custody for disqualified driving and providing false information.

Four people have been reported for driving without a license and five for not having valid insurance.A minibus, carrying 11 passengers, was seized for being driven with no insurance and was also found to be in an un-roadworthy condition, with the seats not secure and the seatbelts not working

One van was found to be running on red diesel and two people have been reported for drink driving.
