KEEN cyclist Duncan Leith has completed a massive fundraising cycle around the east coast of the country.
The Pittenweem man was taking part in the venture to support the Kiran’s Trust charity, an organisation set up by friend Johnny Martin in memory of his daughter, Kiran, who died aged just 18 as a result of a brain tumour in 2008.
Duncan’s 1260-mile trek took him 17 days.
Grateful friend Johnny said: “It was an incredible feat and more so because he was on his own, unsupported apart from our regular texts and calls in the evening.
“He has raised over £500 via his Just Giving site and has more to collect from donors who pledged him support before he took off.
“Kiran’s Trust is absolutely delighted with his very generous offer to do this and raise money for such a young charity.”
Kiran’s Trust has sponsored two tubs of flowers at Pittenweem Harbour.
