THE Byre Theatre will be rocking and rolling next weekend when the hit show ‘Buddy Holly and the Cricketers’ comes to St Andrews.

Audiences are being promised thrilling performances by a fresh and talented cast of actor-musicians who are continuing the traditions of the record-breaking show.

‘Buddy Holly and the Cricketers’ is now in its 20th year and will feature Buddy Holly’s enduring rock ‘n’ roll classics, including ‘That’ll Be the Day’, ‘Peggy Sue’, ‘Oh Boy!’, ‘True Love Ways’ and many more.

Given its portrayal of an era when the stars worked together and influenced each other, the show will also include the greatest hits of the legends of the 50s and 60s — including Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Little Richard and The Beatles.

It’s a true rock ‘n’ roll jukebox and features a cast whose West End credits include ‘Buddy’, ‘Lennon’, ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and ‘Sunday In The Park With George’.

Shows take place next Friday and Saturday, August 10, and 11, at 8pm.

Tickets are available by calling 01334 475000 or visiting www.byretheatre.com
