Speculation grows on Jade’s X Factor return

X Factor Auditions 2011 - Glasgow

X Factor Auditions 2011 - Glasgow

BUCKHAVEN songstress Jade Richards is believed to be having another crack at winning the X Factor crown.

Although details are sketchy, it’s been widely reported that Jade, who reached the judges’ houses stage in last year’s programme, has recently auditioned again in Glasgow.

It’s believed she is now waiting to hear if her most recent attempt will see her invited back to sing before the celebrity panel.

Jade stunned the judges during her audition last year, when her rendition of Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ moved eventual mentor Kelly Rowland to tears.

However, Rowland put an end to Jade’s dream, all-be-it temporarily it would seem, when she told the singer: “When I saw you the first time, you moved me to tears.

“You have this incredible voice... and it’s in you because you come from so much emotion.

“Sometimes, there’s a wall up, but you still feel it some kind of way, and that is magical.

“I know what a big opportunity this would be and I know how it would change your life and I know how it would change your family’s life... I can’t put you through.”

Jade has been continuing to perform since her ejection from the X Factor show, which was eventually won by girl group Little Mix, and has played at venues across Fife.

The show’s host, Dermot O’Leary, refused to give too much away, but has hinted that Jade may indeed be in the running again.

He’s quoted as saying: “Jade did really well last year and we were all surprised she didn’t get through to the studio.

“I think she’s back this year.

“Someone said they saw her in the crowd so fingers crossed.”

After Jade left the show, campaigns were mounted to have her re-instated, before hysteria was whipped up when rumours circulated that an X Factor bus had been spotted locally.
