TRAINEES at a Kirkcaldy hair salon scooped awards after taking part in a special in-house competition.

Seven staff from Migele Experience each had their own model and had to style make-up and hair as part of the scheme - creating a unique look.

The trainees had been practicing their styles for around five weeks before the event.

The competition was organised by Jordan Cameron, principal trainer, and the judges were Karen Bowen, freelance make-up artist; Catherine Gill of Athena Learning Ltd and Irving Miskell-Reid of Freedom Hairdressing in Dundee.

The first year trainees taking part were Mairi Gibson, Aimee Hynd and Kirsty Hutt (left, with model Megan) who won for her group; and the second years were Matt Rodger, Kirsten Hay, Jodi Wilson, Laurie Stephen and winner Nicola Dryburgh (right, with model Ashley Louise).
