Balwearie High School was transformed into a dance studio for one week in October 1988.
Maths and English were replaced by music and movement in a workshop promoted by the Arts in Fife.
The classes, run by members of the Dundee Repertory Theatre, were part of Youth Dance Week, and youngsters from all over Fife were invited to attend.
Speaking in the Fife Free Press at the time, Chris Roberts of Arts in Fife said: “We have held these classes in the autumn for a few years now and they have proved very successful.
“The idea is simply to promote and sustain the arts in Fife and other courses are held throughout the year on a regular basis.”
During the week youngsters took part in a morning class with five members of the Dundee Rep, with afternoon sessions split into four sections, working on a special routine.
A special performance for parents and friends was held at the school at the end of the week on the Friday evening.
