Pathhead Parish Church was built in 1823, initially as a chapel of ease from Dysart Parish Church.
However a disagreement in 1843 saw part of the congregation leave and form the Pathhead East Free Church, which was built on a street known as The Green, which is now the foot of St. Clair Street.
The original building, would be renamed Pathhead West. It was demolished in 1963.
In 1958 the two congregations rejoined and made their home in the current building on Church Street, so we think this picture must have been taken prior to then.
