Phantom Of The Opera: Adam Smith Theatre , Kirkcaldy

Two shows, two standing ovations - what more do you need to know about ‘Phantom Of The Opera’?

Two shows, two standing ovations - what more do you need to know about ‘Phantom Of The Opera’?

It was our ‘Musical of the Year’ in 2013 and this version is every bit as good.

It isn’t a straight repeat either.

One third of the cast is new to the phenomenon that is ‘Phantom’ and they’ve gone from rehearsal to stage in just two weeks.

To give youngsters the confidence to make that journey in such a short space of time, and with a truly challenging show as ‘Phantom’ is remarkable and speaks volumes for YMTScotland and the Arts Hub Kirkcaldy.

This year’s show has a new set - bolder and more dynamic - and it is once again has two very strong leads in Robert Forrest as the Phantom and Katherine Skene as Christine, the object of his love.

There’s fire, explosions, and a superb finale - this show again stands comparison with any musical you will see on a Fife stage this season. A fantastic showcase of outstanding local talent.

Huge kudos to all the cast and crew behind the scenes for delivering an outstanding performance.

>> Phantom Of The Opera is at the Adam Smith until Sunday - shows 2.15 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. on Saturday and 4.00 p.m. on Sunday.
