Glenrothes band Tango in the Attic have been announced as one of the eight Scottish acts playing next month’s prestigious SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas, reports KEVIN QUINN.
This is an incredible achievement for the band who hope to make in-roads in the USA, ahead of the release of their second album, out in April.
Singer Jordan Craig revealed the plans aren’t concrete just yet.
He said: “It’s massive, the biggest thing we have ever done, if we go. We are going through the process of getting work visas. So we are not 100% yet. You have to have had a certain amount of press in America, but we have done OK there so it should be fine.
“There has been a lot of bands that have spring-boarded from SXSW. It’s a good time for us to go, we have the album ready and we are speaking to record labels out there.
“Our management will be really busy at it.”
