KEEN mountain bikers are getting set to take on the Muckmedden challenge at Pitmedden Forest by Auchtermuchty.

Recently the group of cyclists were able to take part in the ‘mockmedden’ trial to get them ready for the real thing.

Everyone who signs up to the Muckmedden event this Sunday (April 22) is encouraged to donate to Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) who will also be collecting at the event.

Event organiser Aaron Gray said: “All the riders came back raving about the course, they said it was great fun and action packed, and also pretty tough going. It was great to hear such positive feedback from everyone as the course is the most important part of any MTB event.

“We’ve been donated some good prizes for the Muckmedden raffle, including a couple of night’s accommodation at the Atholl Arms Hotel in Dunkeld, a handmade Muckmedden cake and more so it’s shaping up to be a great event.”

CHAS Fundraiser Rachel Cheer said: “Aaron has put everything into making this event a success and we wish him and all the riders a fantastic day.

“All the donations for CHAS will help provide support to children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families across Scotland. “
