THE latest in a series of events being held by Cupar man Chris Wroniecki to climb Mount Kilimanjaro takes place this Sunday.
A charity ‘Old Firm’ football match kicks off in Duffus Park at noon.
Entry is free and all donations will go towards the Mount Kilimanjaro fund which will raise money for children’s cancer charity, CCLASP.
Chris is also holding a fundraising disco in Cupar’s Corn Exchange on Saturday, June 15 which is open to all.
The event, which takes place on his 40th birthday, will include a raffle all to raise funds for his trip in October.
Chris and his wife Karen, as well as other members of their family, have raised thousands for children’s charities including the Sick Kids in Edinburgh, after their daughter Summer, now four, was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour.
Chris plans to scale the African peak in a bid to raise £6000 for CCLASP.
He said: “All monies raised will go towards the £3000 I have to find for climbing Kilimanjaro. Based in Edinburgh CCLASP was an amazing source of support when Summer was in hospital and we want to raise money for them so they can keep helping families.”
Tickets for Chris’ 40th birthday disco are available from Karen, 07792617466 or Simone Watson, 07875442673.
