DRUGS worth more than £8,000 have been seized in Glenrothes after members of the public gave information to the police.
Community Constable Victoria Buist, who co-ordinated the raid on a house in the town’s Collydean area, said: “Based on intelligence, we obtained a search warrant for a house in Collydean. Officers recovered drugs, including a cannabis plantation, which led to the arrest of the householders aged 45 and 47. They are to be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and are expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.”
She added: “I would like to extend my thanks to those within the community who continue to provide information to the police to assist us in detecting and deterring those involved in dealing in drugs. I would ask anyone with information regarding drug misuse to call Fife Police on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
