Dad charged with murder

A BUCKHAVEN man appeared in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday charged with the murder of his two children.
Robert Thomson (49), of 20 Muiredge Cottages, made no plea or declaration to the charges that on May 3 at his home address he assaulted his daughter Michelle Thomson (25), stabbed her to the body and murdered her.

Thomson also made no plea to identical charges relating to his son, Ryan (7).

He is scheduled to appear again on Tuesday when he will be fully committed.

Thomson was remanded in custody following his appearance and no application for bail was made.
