Lucky Leuchars woman's number comes up

A YOUNG Leuchars woman looking to get involved in international charity work got a lucky break — thanks to her mobile phone operator.
Gemma Roxanne Williams (24) completed her degree at St Andrews University and had almost finished a six-month officer training programme with the army at Sandhurst.

But she realised her career wasn't starting off quite how she would like it to and decided to head back home to parents Christine and Bleddyn in Leuchars for a rethink.

With another move, probably to London, looming in order to get valuable work experience, she was delighted to discover a couple of organisations with offices in Dundee.

She then came across the Vodafone Foundation who were offering to fund two months of work experience for 500 competition winners.

And Gemma turned out to be one of the lucky 500.
