HOWE of Fife councillor, Donald Lothian, has renewed his call for junction improvements on the A92 near Ladybank.
Councillor Lothian has supported BEAR Scotland's submission to Transport Scotland for funding to provide a roundabout at the Monkstown junction, the stopping up of the B937 junction at Edenbridge and improvements to the Cairnfield junction just north of Ladybank.

He said: "Improvements at these junctions is long overdue.

"The local communities have been calling for junction improvements for some years, the priority being a roundabout at the Monkstown junction, and I have been pressing the case with BEAR Scotland.

"I am disappointed that BEAR's application for funding to Transport Scotland is taking so long to be determined."

Councillor Lothian added: "Improvements at the Annsmuir/ Ladybank Golf Club junction and the junction to the Melville Wood recycling centre and landfill site are also in the pipeline.

"If all these improvements get the go ahead it will significantly improve road safety."
