Remember those family days out when mum and dad packed the kids into the car and drove to the beach, country park, theme park?

Now you can relive the cries of “Are we there yet?” “Sit still” “Mum, he’s being sick” with Cupar comedian Derek Johnston as he brings his show ‘A Day Oot!’ to the town on Sunday.

He’ll be performing his successful Edinburgh Fringe show at Watts on a rolling basis during the afternoon to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer.

Derek’s family friendly show is based on his own experiences as he goes on a car journey ‘en famille’ complete with games, fights, dead legs and those sweeties that you only get on car journeys.

Then in the evening, from 8 pm, Derek will be starring in a comedy showcase bringing in JoJo Sutherland to compere and also featuring Dundonian Keir McAllister, a regular at The Stand, HaHa Comedy and The Last Laugh Comedy Clubs, and one of the most popular - and certainly most successful - of modern-day Scottish comedians, Vladimir McTavish, who will close the show.

“A Day Oot!” runs from 2 pm and is followed by the evening show which kicks off at 8 pm.
