Dear Allan,

The last two years without you has been a struggle for the whole family. Life will never be the same until you are back with us.

Every time the phone rings we pray that it is someone calling to put us out of our misery.

We try to keep every day as normal as we can and put a brave face on for your two sisters, Sophie and Amy.

We never imagined that two years later we would still not have any answers. Someone out there knows what happened on the night you disappeared and they are responsible for what has happened.

People do not just disappear.

As soon as your dad wakes up every morning, the first thing he does is check all of his messages and e-mails, praying that someone has come forward with the information that we need to bring you home.

Every time the phone rings we pray that it is someone calling to put us out of our misery.

This has been your dad’s life for the past two years, spending every waking hour thinking of ideas to keep you in the public eye, keeping pressure on the police and the people responsible by continuously posting on social media.

He will never stop until you are found.

The only thing that keeps us going is the large amount of support that we receive from family, friends and the public.

They have been amazing and give us hope and energy to go on each day.

We are going through so much heartache right now.

When you left our house that night, we never imagined that it would be the last time we ever saw you alive, we never imagined that that would be the last goodbye that we shared.

It is breaking our hearts - no family should have to go through this.

Police Scotland must find you. Someone knows. Someone is hiding the truth.

Your loving mum.
