A new musical twist to a timeless fairytale

TWO sweet characters launched this year’s Christmas show at Carnegie Hall this week.

Gayle Telfer Stevens, who plays both Johanna Kugelschreiber (the mum) and Whilimena Ubeltater (the witch) in Hansel and Gretel was joined by a 5ft gingerbread man and an oversized milk carton from sponsor Robert Wiseman Dairies for the event.

The timeless fairytale is brought to life in a brand new musical version from director Jonathan Stone and Alan McHugh, writer of the Adam Smith Theatre pantomimes and the smash hit ‘I Dreamed a Dream - The Susan Boyle Musical’.

‘Hansel and Gretel’ will enchant audiences with its stunning set, live music and magical storytelling at Carnegie Hall from November 30 to December 24.

ON at Fife are delighted that once again this year, the show will be sponsored by Robert Wiseman Dairies who will also providee free flavoured milk to all audience members.

And during the festive season, Carnegie Hall’s foyer will be transformed into a magical forest - see if you notice the sweet smell of fresh gingerbread when you arrive at the box office as all ticket bookers will be receiving free gingerbread.
