Two Fife businesses have joined together to create a very special sausage with a taste of Hallowe’en.

Puddledub and Ardross Farm Shop have teamed up to make locally produced spiced pumpkin pork sausages for the season.

Tom Mitchell, farmer and director of Puddledub, explained: “We wanted to produce something that is seasonally and uniquely local. We have some of the best food producers in the UK here in Fife and we are always keen to partner up with other local suppliers and farmers to create new products and flavours.”

Pork from the Auchtertool farm is combined with pumpkins grown at Ardross Farm, near Elie.

Nikki Storrar, from Ardross, said: “We have been growing pumpkins for over 10 years on our farm. We are delighted to partner up with Puddledub to create these delicious sausages.

“Our farm shop is always seeking to stock new local produce for people that love food. Hallowe’en is a fun time of year and we wanted to create something new to help our customers celebrate.”
