Campaigners calling for safety improvements for the A92 have called on the Scottish Government to act without further delay after the latest accident on the notorious stretch of trunk road on Monday.

Three vehicles were involved in a collision at around 8am on Monday, November 30. Nobody was injured in the incident.

“Fortunately this was not a serious or fatal accident for these motorists - and an escape for our Scottish Minister of Transport too,” said Ron Page, convener of Glenrothes Area Futures Group A92 campaign.

He added: “Is this what he is waiting for - a series of fatal or serious accidents before he applies any action to the Fife A92 Action Plan.

“We are still waiting for his reply to that action plan now four months later.”

The road has been the scene of 17 fatalities and over 1700 accidents in the last decade.
