Cupar YMCA-YWCA management committee member Andrew Cummings is going to new heights to raise funds for his local organisation and YMCA Scotland.
On Sunday, June 10, along with other brave souls from YMCAs across Scotland, Andrew will abseil over 165 feet from the very top of the famous Forth Rail Bridge.
Andrew said he was very much looking forward to his fund-raising challenge.
“I enjoy a bit of a challenge and have completed a parachute jump before,” he said.
“I hope everyone will support me to raise funds for the Y and help us improve our facilities to enable us to continue to offer vital opportunities and support to both young people and adults.”
Dave Montgomery, joint chairman at the YMCA-YWCA, said: “We’re asking for everyone to get behind Andrew in this challenge.
“We are always looking at different ways of raising funds and when this opportunity came along it was Andrew who jumped at the chance!”
Anyone who would like to support Andrew should pop into the YMCA-YWCA in the Bonnygate, call the Y on 01334 659387 or go to: www.virginmoneygiving.com/AndrewCummings where you can donate online.
