An animal rights activist is to stand trial after she allegedly masked up and abused a huntsman in an incident on a farm.

Gwyneth Humphries is alleged to have targeted Adam Galpin at Lochmoonzie Farm near Cupar, Fife, on November 21 last year.

Mr Galpin is understood to be an experienced terrierman and has been involved in hunts across the UK.

Prosecutors say that Humphries masked her face, exited her car and approached Mr Galpin, shouted, swore, seized a mobile phone from him, refused to return it and dropped it to the ground, damaging it.

Humphries, 49, of Mortonpark Drive, Darvel, East Ayrshire, denies a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on summary complaint at Dundee Sheriff Court.

Sheriff Derek Livingstone continued the case to a trial date next month.
