The Kingdom has seen a spate of tragic deaths over the last fortnight and yet another tragedy has unfolded at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
A patient died after falling from a height of 30ft from a hospital ward window on Thursday, 17 November. The 61 year-old lady was named as Josephine Mowat from Cardenden.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal. Fife Contabulary has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Earlier this week, Glenrothes resident, Tracey Forbes - a charge hand nurse at Queen Margaret Hospital - was killed after a horror smash on the A911 involving a lorry.
