Anstruther hosts skiff regatta

Have your say

Community spirit was alive and splashing in Anstruther at the weekend when a regatta attracted rowing skiffs from both sides of the Forth.

The event was hosted by the town’s St Ayles Rowing Club and saw boats entered from fellow clubs Newburgh, St Andrews, Crail, Pittenweem, North Queensferry, Port Seton & Cockenzie, North Berwick and Royal West.

The skiffs raced are all the St Ayles design commissioned by the Scottish Fisheries Museum, which, with the Coastal Rowing Project, aims to help communities set up groups to build and race the boats.

Here’s a short taste of the action, full story and more pictures in this week’s East Fife Mail.
