Police in North East Fife are appealing for information following three break-ins in the Kingskettle area.

Overnight on September 8/9, two commercial premises and a private property were broken into and numerous items stolen including computer equipment, tools, a car and a quad bike.

Some of the goods were recovered nearby however the remainder is still unaccounted for.

An investigation is now underway and police are appealing to anyone with relevant information to come forward.

Local Community Sergeant Neil Mackenzie said: “We are appealing for witnesses following thefts from these three premises and would ask for anyone with information to contact us.

“The items stolen are of high value and the quad bike in particular would have required a vehicle large enough to transport it away from the premises.

“There are a number of stolen items, which remain unaccounted for including laptops and power tools and I would ask anyone who has any knowledge of their whereabouts or may have been even approached to buy them to please contact police as soon as possible.

“I also encourage anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour overnight on the 8/9th in the Kingskettle, Kettlebridge or Balmalcolm area to contact Police Scotland on 101 or, alternatively through the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
